Role Overview
The Workplace Services Lead owns the strategy and execution of workplace operations, ensuring offices are safe, functional, cost-effective, and designed to scale with the company’s growth. The Workplace Services Lead blends operational excellence, facilities management, and service-oriented thinking to deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Workplace Experience
- Own the end-to-end employee experience of the office, from first day onboarding through daily use of the space
- Ensure offices are welcoming, intuitive, and well-maintained, removing friction from employees’ day-to-day work
- Act as a service partner to employees, responding to workplace needs with urgency, empathy, and clear communication
- Partner closely with HR and People Operations on onboarding/offboarding logistics, workplace policies, and culture-building moments
- Gather feedback and identify patterns to continuously improve how employees experience the workplace
Workplace & Facilities Operations
- Manage commercial leases, office buildouts, renovations, and ongoing facilities needs
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, including workspace setup, supplies, visitor management, and vendor coordination
- Ensure offices are safe, compliant, and fully operational for employees and guests
- Develop and maintain SOPs for all workplace functions to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability
- Build and maintain data-driven reporting on workplace-related operating and capital expenses
- Anticipate future workplace needs based on headcount growth, hybrid work patterns, and evolving employee expectations
Vendor & Budget Management
- Develop strategies, policies, and procedures to improve operational efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Own budgets for office operations and IT-related assets
- Manage vendor strategy and landlord relationships
- Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and enforce service level agreements
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of experience in workplace operations, facilities management, office management, or internal operations
- Experience managing commercial leases, vendors, and office budgets
- Familiarity with IT asset lifecycle management and onboarding/offboarding processes
- Strong process orientation with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience using Jira or similar workflow/project management tools is a plus
