Systole Health is a venture-backed startup focused on transforming care for women’s heart health through evidence-based virtual shared medical appointments (SMAs). We are looking for a cardiovascular prevention-focused primary care physician to join us as a founding clinician, working closely with our CEO/founder, Dr. Simin Lee (Harvard-trained cardiologist), to deliver group virtual care and help shape the future of this care model at scale.
About the Role
This position offers a unique blend of clinical care, innovation, and implementation work.
- Lead virtual SMAs alongside a dedicated health coach, providing comprehensive, high-quality care for women at risk for adverse cardiovascular events.
- Work directly with Systole’s leadership to develop clinical systems that support the integration of virtual SMAs into health system partners.
- Contribute to research and publishing efforts (abstracts, conference presentations, manuscripts) to demonstrate the impact of this model.
- Advance patient education through content creation and events to support community engagement.
Who We're Looking for
- Board-certified in Internal or Family Medicine with strong interest in cardiometabolic disease and cardiovascular prevention (management of hyperlipidemia, hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus/prediabetes, and/or obesity) and addressing gender gaps in cardiovascular care.
- Comfort with screening for cardiovascular risk enhancers, including lipoprotein(a), apolipoprotein B, and/or coronary artery calcium.
- At least two years of independent practice in an outpatient setting
- State licensed in Massachusetts and Florida, or obtained before your start date
- Evidence-based, proactive, and collaborative clinician who thrives in a self-directed environment.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build patient engagement in a group telehealth setting.
- Interest in innovative care models and health system integration.
Key Details
- Remote role with occasional travel (~1-2x per year).
